The organic eye, and the lightning-branches spreading through the sky, remind me of the artwork I've seen on one of H.P. Lovecraft's book covers. They're both surreal in a slightly unsettling way. The difference, of course, is that this picture looks like it might want to chat with you or grant you special knowlege, whereas the picture on Lovecraft's book looks like it wants to eat you or blow your mind to little bits. I am wondering, however. What about this makes it a wanderer's image in particular?
