Going on a Media Slimming Diet in a Media Saturated World

sounds like a good idea to me
in fact, it's almost unavoidable ...
the sounds of radio, the blare of television, discarded newspapers ...
billboards, people wearing t-shirts with highly charged messages ...
this could be a propaganda war ...
just like you don't eat every piece of food you come into vicinity with ...
treat your mind with the same respect ...
is this media I am eating fresh, wholesome, unrefined, no-additives?
or is it fast-food media, media designed to make a profit, to keep you hungry?
your consciousness is a sacred space
keep it that way
love and light

good advice… let us have peace… love to you
I used to be a media junkie and you are correct, it is like crack only it doesn't even pretend to make you feel good for even a little while. After a few weeks even the voices in my head quit asking for it.
we have satellite tv at home. 100 + channells of crap. I avoid the news pretty much, find my self watching movies I rent or old reruns of mash.
But its not only the TV that makes us zombies, I just watched a neighbor walk all the way up the street on her cell phone totally obliviouse to the world around her.
Hang up the phone, turn off the TV, lose the ipod, ooops better get off this site too … and feel life… its awaiting :)
ok ok ok… get off this site?? noooooo…. lol
actually, gotta run! life is waiting gotta be somewhere in ten minutes
love to you all…
I need to do that again! Roomates I stayed with in NY for 2 months had no t.v. & it was the best time of my life. Meditated everyday……oneness/enlightenment……AWESOME!
